Thank you so much for taking time out to listen to the concerns faced by parents while taking their children to therapy centers in Kochi.
As discussed our main concerns are that :
- Parents are not allowed inside during therapy sessions
- High risk of child abuse during the session
- There is no active parent training or involvement in the program
- Minimal or no documentation of therapy program or IEPs
- No monitoring authority to make the therapists and other professionals practice more safe , ethical , transparent and accountable methods.
There are more concerns and as you meet with the parents directly you would realize the magnitude and extent of the problem.
We thank you once again for coming forward to look into the matter and take necessary steps.
